Appalachia

The Appalachia Group meets and raises funds during the school year to prepare for a week trip to the Appalachia Mountains in West Virginia. During our trip, we stay at the St. Joseph the Worker Youth Center organized by the Catholic Church of Preston County. While helping the needy in this area, we learn valuable skills in community outreach, home repair and additions. A sense of Christian fellowship among ourselves, the community, and the local church is a big part of what happens in our week stay.
